Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have charged a man in connection with an October robbery at a BB&T branch in northwest Charlotte.
Troy Alan Hooks, 57, was charged this week with robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping. Hooks was in the Mecklenburg County jail under a $200,000 bail Thursday.
The robbery occurred Oct. 27 at the BB&T in the 1800 block of Oakdale Road. Police said the robber wore a black trench coat, black cowboy hat, black tennis shoes and a blue-and-white bandana over his face.
