Three men received lengthy sentences in federal prison this week for their involvement in a crack cocaine ring.
Prosecutors said the ring operated from 2013 to last fall in Caldwell County and elsewhere.
U.S. District Judge Richard Voorhees sentenced the men in federal court in Statesville.
John Fitzgerald “Pumpy” Michaux, 31, of Hickory, and Terron Juandre “Wordle” Michaux, 29, of Lenoir, received 14 years in prison.
Jeremy “Tank” Dula, 28, of Lenoir, was sentenced to six years and six months in prison.
All three pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
In a separate case, Voorhees sentenced Christopher Rios Rodriguez, 27, of Newton, to 11 years and three months in prison after Rodriguez pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
