Authorities say at least seven vehicles were hit by burglars late Monday night or early Tuesday in a neighborhood in northern York County.

Deputies with the York County Sheriff’s Office said it appeared as if most or all of the vehicles were unlocked.

The thefts were reported on Adair Marble Street, Balsam Bark Lane, Dawn Mist Lane and Desert Rose Court. Those streets are in a community east of S.C. 160 and south of S.C. 98, near Tega Cay.

The thefts took place sometime between 10 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to deputies’ reports. A variety of items were reported stolen, including camping equipment, cameras, a laptop computer, a GPS device, binoculars and ammunition.

Deputies said they reminded residents to keep their vehicles locked. There was no word of any suspect in the thefts.
