A vigil was held Wednesday night for Carrington Ware, who was hit by a car whose driver didn’t stop.

About 100 people -- many wearing t-shirts with Ware’s picture on it -- attended the service outside Harding High School in West Charlotte on Wednesday. Police have not identified a suspect.

Ware, who had cerebral palsy, had just had Valentine’s Day dinner and a movie at his girlfriend’s house and was crossing Alleghany Street at Pebblebrook Drive to get to the bus stop when he was hit, family members said.
