Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who was described by a police spokesman as “armed and dangerous.”
Jeffrey Alonzo Taylor Jr., 22, is sought in connection with a pair of recent armed robberies in west and southwest Charlotte, police said. Rob Tufano, a spokesman for CMPD, said shots were fired in both robberies.
Tufano said Taylor is being sought on charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, robbery with a dangerous weapon, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and assault by pointing a gun.
Taylor is described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 170 pounds. In his most recent photo, he had close-cropped hair and a mustache. Anyone with information on Taylor’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact detectives at 704-336-8228. Steve Lyttle
