Mooresville seeks store robbery suspect

Mooresville police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store early Tuesday.

Police say the robbery was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m. at the Circle K store in the 200 block of West Plaza Drive. Police say the robbery was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m. at the Circle K store in the 200 block of West Plaza Drive. That is on N.C. 150, a short distance west of Talbert Road.

Police said a man entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The man implied he had a weapon, police said, but no weapon was displayed.

The man drove off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police said the suspect’s getaway vehicle was a black sedan, possibly a Honda Accord. Police hope to look at surveillance photos as they continue the investigation.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, which he pulled over his face.
