Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say evidence found at a man’s apartment Tuesday links him to more than a dozen break-ins across the city.
Travion Allen, 35, was taken into custody by officers on outstanding warrants for two residential break-ins March 12 at the Waterford Ridge Apartments off East W.T. Harris Boulevard in east Charlotte.
Allen was charged with two counts each of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of a stolen firearm. He also was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
Police found Allen on Tuesday when they spotted a vehicle that was wanted in connection with several residential break-ins. They tracked the vehicle to apartments in the 13400 block of Arbor Trace Drive in southwest Charlotte.
Inside Allen’s apartment, police said, they found property that had been stolen in more than a dozen break-ins. Officer Keith Trietley, a CMPD spokesman, said Allen faces additional charges in those cases.
Anyone with information about the burglaries or Allen is asked to contact Crime Stoppers, 704-334-1600 or at http://charlottecrimestoppers.com.
