CMPD, FBI search for BB&T Bank robber

Area law enforcement has asked for help with identifying the suspect who robbed a BB&T Bank on Oakdale Road Friday afternoon.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Armed Robbery Unit and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force have released photos of the suspect who robbed the bank branch at 1814 Oakdale Road around 1:30 p.m.
A man in a black and red Atlanta Falcons ball cap, red jacket and red pants approached a bank employee and gave them a note demanding money, police said.
Once he had the money, the suspect left on foot. Police described the suspect as a black male, likely between 35 and 40, about 5’10” in height with thin build and medium skin tone.
