A Rock Hill woman connected with another woman’s stabbing on Tuesday allegedly stashed a knife in her bra and drove into a $1,000 storm drain cover before police found her walking down the street with her boyfriend.

Police at about 7:30 p.m. were sent to Chestnut Street, off Saluda Street, after receiving word of a stabbing, according to a Rock Hill police report. Police found the suspects, identified as Amanda Coleman, 40, and Ralph Mitchell, 46, and detained them. A police sergeant went to a Chestnut Street home, where he met with the 32-year-old victim, suffering from a cut on her left leg.

Witnesses told police that a dispute erupted between the victim and Coleman a few hours before the incident, the report states. Coleman left, but not before she drove into a storm drain cover, shattering $1,000 worth of metal, police reported.

A few hours later, Coleman and Mitchell arrived at the home and another argument arose. Mitchell charged at the victim, the report states, slashing at her several times. The victim fell to the ground, suffering from a cut to her right leg. Witnesses also claim Coleman threatened to use a knife, but never did so.

Police searched Mitchell and Coleman, finding a knife in his front pocket and a knife in her bra, the report states. Police found Coleman’s Toyota Camry with front-end damage and arrested her, charging her with disorderly conduct and damage to city property.

Mitchell was charged with second-degree assault and battery.
