Police, FBI seek Matthews bank robber

Matthews police and the FBI are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a bank in downtown Matthews on Monday.

A masked man entered the PNC Bank on Matthews Station Street and demanded money at gunpoint. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall with a slender build. He was wearing a light gray hoodie, blue jeans, and white sneakers. His face was concealed by a black mask.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Matthews police, 704-847-5555, or the FBI office in Charlotte at 704-672-6100.
