1 killed, 1 injured in northwest Charlotte wreck

One person was killed and another was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle in connection with a northwest Charlotte wreck Wednesday evening.

One person was killed and another was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle in connection with a northwest Charlotte wreck Wednesday evening.

Annie Louise Roller, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Quantovius Lamanz Forte, 23, ran a red light at the off-ramp to Interstate 485 and crashed into Roller’s Volkswagen Passat.

Forte was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle. He was also charged with having an expired registration, having an expired vehicle inspection and with running a red light.

The wreck on Brookshire Boulevard near the Interstate 485 loop caused significant traffic delays during rush hour.
