A Charlotte man was arrested Thursday night after complaints of possible drug activity brought investigators to Fay Jones Road, officials said.
Marvin Antonio Cathey, 39, has been charged with a number of drug and firearm offenses, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Narcotics officers responded to a Fay Jones Road residence after receiving complaints from the community, the Sheriff’s Office said.
During a search of the residence, officials said they seized nearly a half pound of marijuana, a handgun and 12-gauge shotgun, as well as drug paraphernalia.
The handgun, a Springfield Armory .357 semi-automatic, had reportedly been stolen from a home in the 2500 block of Fay Jones Road, according to officials.
Cathey, who gave officials a Charlotte address, has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm and felony possession of marijuana, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Cathey was released from the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond.
