A Gaston County man has been accused of keeping child pornography on his home computer, police say.
Christopher Alan Mauldin, 44, of Dallas, was arrested early last month following an investigation by Gaston County police, authorities said.
Police said someone tipped off the SBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and those agencies contacted Gaston County authorities. The tip involved the possible sharing of child pornography images, according to police.
Investigators said they went to Mauldin’s residence and seized a number of computers and other devices. Police said Mauldin cooperated with the investigation, and they allege that detectives found images of child pornography were discovered.
Mauldin was charged with 11 counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor.
