Albemarle police said an investigation into a hotel room fire led to the arrest of a man on methamphetamine-related charges this week.
Jamie Robinson Hill of Gastonia was charged with possession or distribution of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling to produce drugs.
Police were called about 4 a.m. last Friday to the Lions Inn on U.S. 52 North. Officers said they found a window had been blown from one of the rooms onto the ground, and there was evidence of a fire on a bed in the room.
