Police: Man shot in car in east Charlotte

A man was shot while sitting in his car in east Charlotte, and police were searching for a suspect Sunday afternoon, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Capt. Todd Lontz said.

The man was shot about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 6400 block of Albemarle Road. He suffered injuries that were not deemed life-threatening, Lontz said.
