A 35-year-old woman from southern Caldwell County has been arrested in a case that involves the attempted distribution of Oxycodone, authorities say.
Melisa Diana Triplett, 35, of Hudson, was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with possession with intent to sell or delivery Oxycodone and maintaining a vehicle to keep or store a controlled substance, deputies said.
Investigators allege Triplett met with another person in the Sawmills community with the intent of distributing the pills. She was approached by drug agents and taken into custody.
Deputies said they found 34 Oxycodone pills in a cigarette pack in the 2005 GMC truck she was driving. Triplett did not have a prescription for the pills, deputies said.
