A Thursday afternoon argument between two Lincolnton brothers ended in the death of one of them and Lincoln County’s first homicide this year, officials said.
Jeffery Dwayne Anders, 44, was charged with second-degree murder, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Jeffery Anders was at the residence of his brother, Rickey Dwayne Anders, 41, when they got into an argument around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, officials said.
The disagreement escalated into shots being fired. Rickey Anders died at the scene after being shot in the head, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Jeffery Anders was being held under a $750,000 secured bond at the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center, officials said. Hilary Trenda
