Two Lenoir residents were arrested Monday and accused of illegally possessing a firearm, police say.
Investigators said the arrests came after neighbors complained about activities at the suspects’ residence, in the 1500 block of Walt Arney Road.
Charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon were Julius Daniel “Boone” McGuire, 24, and Kristen Michelle Neumann, 33. Each was jailed under $30,000 bond and is scheduled for an initial court appearance Thursday.
Police said the arrests followed a two-year investigation. Investigators said officers found three firearms and drug paraphernalia in the residence. Police said McGuire and Neumann have previous felony convictions and are prohibited from having firearms.
McGuire also was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
