School bus, car collide in Concord; 3 hurt

Three people suffered minor injuries Wednesday morning when a car and school bus collided in Concord, police say.

The collision was reported about 8 a.m. on Champion Lane SW, near Zion Church Road. The car hit the rear of the Cabarrus County Schools bus, authorities said.

No children were aboard Bus 288, which had finished a run to Rocky River Elementary School. The bus driver and two people in the car were taken to CMC-Northeast with minor injuries, police said.
