Waxhaw man accused of sexually assaulting boys in upstate New York

A Waxhaw man has been accused of sexually abusing two boys in upstate New York.
William Bates-Congdon, 49, faces 13 felony charges, including two counts of a first-degree criminal sexual act, according to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office.
The incidents happened in Scriba, about 40 miles north of Syracuse, authorities said, starting in 2001. One victim was as young as 7, the other was 12.
Bates-Congdon was arraigned in Town of Scriba Court and taken to the Oswego County jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. Cleve R. Wootson Jr.
