Two Statesville-area residents have been arrested on drug charges after a lengthy investigation, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Eric Summers, 38, and Latisha Tenille Flowers, 32, were arrested late last week at a residence on Knox Avenue near Statesville.
Deputies said residents and others complained about possible drug activity in the Park Drive area. Investigators said they were able to conduct several drug transactions with Summers, buying $5,000 worth of crack cocaine.
Armed with a search warrant, deputies checked the residence Wednesday. They reported finding 12 grams of crack and powder cocaine and 100 grams of high-grade marijuana.
Summers was charged with four counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver crack cocaine; three counts of selling and delivering crack cocaine; four counts of maintaining a dwelling for the sale of drugs; and felony possession of marijuana. He was jailed under $30,000 bond.
Flowers was charged with felony possession of marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for drug sales.
Deputies said more arrests are expected.
