CMPD seeks shooting suspects in Grier Heights

Police are looking for two suspects in connection with a shooting late Tuesday morning in southeast Charlotte’s Grier Heights community.

The shooting was reported about 11:30 a.m. in the 3400 block of Oak Arbor Lane. That is near Sam Drenan Road, in the area near Randolph and Wendover roads.

According to initial reports, the victim was shot in the back. Medic said it took one person to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police were conducting a manhunt early Tuesday afternoon in the area, with some streets temporarily closed. CMPD called in its K-9 dog search unit to help.
