A Granite Falls man was arrested Wednesday after a search of his home turned up high-grade marijuana, authorities say.

The sheriff’s office said Douglas Eugene Turnmire, 35, was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and maintaining a dwelling to keep or store a controlled substance.

Investigators said agents searched Turnmire’s residence on Meadows Park Lane and found about 2 ounces of marijuana packaged for sale, a digital weighing scale and other packaging materials. Authorities said Turnmire already was on probation and was charged with parole violation.
