A Mooresville business owner has been arrested after officials said he accepted payment for a boat and trailer but failed to provide the buyer with titles of ownership.

Seth Bloom, 23, of Langtree Road, was arrested Thursday, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. Bloom is also the owner of Monster Marine in Mooresville.

Earlier this month, a victim reported that he paid Bloom more than $35,000 for a 2008 Sunsetter Boat and 2014 EZ Load trailer, officials said.

Investigators with the sheriff’s Economic Crime Unit said they found that Bloom did not provide the titles of ownership for the boat or the trailer to the buyer. Bloom was charged with obtaining property by false pretense and given a $15,000 secured bond.
