Meth lab probe under way in Mount Holly

Mount Holly police said they are at the scene of a house where methamphetamine was being produced.

Mount Holly police say they discovered a methamphetamine lab Tuesday morning.

Police Chief Don Roper said detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Oak Trail and said officers had confirmed meth production at the site.

Roper said Gaston County police and the SBI are helping in the investigation, with Mount Holly Fire and Rescue on hand if needed. Police were still at the scene shortly before noon Tuesday.

Roper said several people at the scene are being questioned and added that charged are pending.
