Alexander County man arrested on child sexual exploitation charges

An Alexander County man was arrested on Wednesday and charged with seven counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The arrest of Joshua Lynn Cook, 30, came after sheriff’s investigators and FBI agents executed a search warrant and seized materials at Cook’s home on White Plains Church Road at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Cook was jailed under a $100,000 secured bond.
