Vale man convicted for 2004 crime

A Vale man was convicted Monday in Catawba County for possession of cocaine in 2004 and habitual felon status.

Paul Buckner, 48, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to between 107 and 138 months in prison.

Buckner is currently serving an active sentence at the Federal Bureau of Prisons. According to the Bureau of Prisons website, his relate date is October 2025.
