Locust man charged with sexually assaulting a child

A Locust man has been charged with sexually assaulting a child after Stanly County authorities received a report about a possible rape.
Darrin Michael Riggsbee, 20, is charged with two counts of first-degree statutory rape of a child under 13, two counts of indecent liberties with a child and one count of first-degree sex offense with a child.
Riggsbee was taken to the Stanly County Detention facility and placed under a $200,000 bond. Hannah Jeffrey
