Police charge seven, seize guns, ammo and stolen goods

Police arrested and charged seven suspects and seized 20 guns and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition after executing a search warrant on a home in the 3100 block of Tuckaseegee Road on Wednesday.

Officers from the Metro Division and SWAT Team seized numerous items that had been stolen during home break-ins across Charlotte, Officer Jessica Wallin said Thursday. Police said they also seized tactical gear and crack cocaine.

The suspects were taken into custody without incident and charged with numerous felonies, police said.

Arrested were Jamie Briggs, 22; Brian Ebney, 16; Jhirmike McCorkle, 32; Lester Mitchell, 21; Barbara Robinson, 59; Edward Robinson, 23; and James Robinson, 41.
