A 39-year-old man was shot and killed in his driveway in Woodleaf on Sunday, according to the Rowan Sheriff’s Office.
Kerry Gray died on Sunday, fatally injured by multiple gunshot wounds a day after his birthday. The Rowan Sheriff’s Office said the shooting was the result of an argument between Gray and Destin Lamar Sloan, 23, also of Woodleaf, a town just northwest of Salisbury.
Investigators were called to 145 Maria Lane around 1:03 p.m. Investigators haven’t said what the argument was about.
Sloan was charged with murder; possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a schedule II controlled substance; and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule IV controlled substance. Sloan was jailed without bond.
