Rash of vehicle break-ins reported in Cleveland

The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office says a large number of vehicle break-ins was reported late last week in the eastern part of the county.

The break-ins took place Friday and Saturday. Investigators said some of the areas affected were Stoney Point Road, Whetstine Road, Mary’s Grove Church Road, Quail Hollow Drive, Rosebank Drive, Wood Cove Lane, Zeb Cline Road and Bottom Road.

The crimes are thought to have taken place during the early-morning hours.
