Iredell County authorities say they are charging a Catawba County man in connection with a larceny from a home near Statesville.

Zachary Keith Price, 27, of Claremont, was arrested late last week by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office on felony larceny warrants from Catawba County. Since then, Iredell County authorities said, they have obtained warrants against Price for felony larceny and possession of stolen property in Iredell County.

Deputies said they were contacted last Friday by a resident in the 300 block of Old Mocksville Road, in reference to a larceny. Investigators said the resident reported that Price had stayed at his home last Thursday, and when he left the following day, about $1,000 worth of property was missing.

As deputies were taking the report from the victim, they said Price called the victim and mentioned that he was at a nearby home. Deputies went to that residence and arrested Price. Investigators said deputies recovered the victim’s stolen property in Price’s possession.

Additional charges are pending in the case, according to Iredell County investigators.
