Two Monroe men have been arrested in connection with a string of break-ins and burglaries, including a break-in at a church, according to Union County authorities.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested Cody Isaiah Berry, 22, and Dale Gary Frankenberg, 19. Berry was out on bond for what investigators said was a similar crime spree from last year.
Deputies accuse the two men of breaking into Midway Baptist Church, on Olive Branch Road northeast of Monroe, and two businesses, Southside Auto and Take Aim Training, both on Pageland Highway south of Monroe. Deputies said the men also are charged with burglarizing a home off Pageland Highway and another on Austin Chaney Road.
Investigators said the arrests also involve three vehicle break-ins. A number of items stolen in the burglaries were recovered, authorities said.
