Batteries stolen from large vehicles in Lincoln County

Lincoln County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the theft of more than a dozen batteries from vehicles in the western end of the county.
The thefts happened July 25 through Sunday on Reeps Grove Church Road, North Brook No. 3 School Road and Sam Houser Road.
Sometime between July 25 and last Friday, someone stole the battery from a church bus belonging to Mount Vernon Baptist Church. The bus was in the church parking lot.
On Saturday, two truck batteries and batteries from two farm tractors were reported stolen in the 7400 block of Reeps Grove Church Road.
On Sunday, seven batteries were reported stolen from two trucks in the 1900 block of North Brook No. 3 School Road.
Deputies are also investigating the theft of batteries from two trucks at Houser Transport on Sam Houser Road, believed to have occurred Sunday night.

A Crime Stoppers tip that leads to an arrest is eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
