Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for the man they believe robbed two Charlotte businesses at gunpoint at the end of July.
Brandon McInnis, 23, has multiple warrants for his arrest, which include charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, among others, police said.
McInnis was identified as the suspect who robbed the Sonic restaurant at 265 Mount Holly-Huntersville Road just before 11:30 p.m. on July 27, police said.
During that robbery, the suspect came into the restaurant, pointed a handgun at employees and demanded money before leaving on foot, according to CMPD.
Hours later, the same man robbed the Quick Trip convenience store at 127 E. Woodlawn Road shortly after 5 a.m. on July 28, officials said. The clerk told police that the suspect brandished a gun, demanded money and left on foot.
No one was hurt in either robbery.
Police believe McInnis may have fled to Miami. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team at 704-336-8228.
