Huntersville police said Friday that Wednesday’s late-night robbery of Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint was an inside job.
Police said that on Thursday, they arrested and charged James Richard Haney Jr., 29, of Huntersville, who was the shift leader on duty that night.
Haney was charged with five counts of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon, four counts of second-degree kidnapping and one count each of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and felony conspiracy to commit kidnapping. Haney was in the Mecklenburg County Jail under a $550,000 secured bond.
Police said they also obtained warrants on two other men they haven’t found yet and who should be considered armed and dangerous. Cameron Lee Nash, 27, and Tommy Vanh Bountham, 23, face the same charges as Haney. Bountham also is charged with aiding and abetting a robbery.
