Convicted robber wanted for removing electronic monitor

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for a convicted robber who removed his electronic monitor on Monday and was last seen at 600 11th St.
Odell Mychal Smallwood is wanted on outstanding warrants for interfering with an electronic monitoring device, robbery with dangerous weapon and felony firearm charges.
On Feb. 26, 2013, Smallwood was ordered by a court to wear an electronic monitoring device during his pretrial release for robbery and felony firearm offenses, police said.
Anyone who knows his whereabouts should call 911 or CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team at 704-336-VCAT (8228).
