A woman woke up to the sound of gunfire at her Chester home early Sunday morning, according to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman, 40, was one of five adults and four juveniles who were at the home on Holmes Road around 5 a.m.

When she got out of bed, the woman saw her home had been “shot multiple times,” according to the report. She didn’t see or hear a car at the time of the shooting.

Deputies found shell cases across the street from the home and found footprints from Holmes Road to Featherstone Road, where the suspects may have gotten in a vehicle to leave.

No one was injured. The case is still under investigation.
