A pair of pre-teen boys is facing charges after police say they beat another boy with their belts and fists at a school bus stop in Rock Hill on Tuesday morning.

A 12-year-old boy told police he was waiting at the bus stop and throwing rocks with his friend. One of those rocks hit another student.

That person's cousins, age 11 and 12, began to hit the young boy with their belts and fists, the police reports states.

At some point during the incident, the 12-year-old fell to the ground and was kicked in the left eye.

Other students at the bus stop were able to pull the two boys off the 12-year-old, police said, before they got on the school bus.

He was left bruised and his eye swollen from the attack, police said.

The 11-year-old and 12-year-old were charged with 3rd degree assault and battery by mob. They were released to the custody of their mother.
