Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies detained a 27-year-old man wanted in California on a burglary charge, authorities said Friday.

Justin David Goulet, 27, of Sweeping Pines Drive was taken into custody after detectives secured a search warrant for the home.

Goulet is charged in Lincoln County with one felony count each of fugitive from justice, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of five or more counterfeit checks.

The checks were drawn on a fictitious checking account number at a bank in Miami, Fla., investigators said.

Goulet also was arrested on outstanding Catawba County charges.

He was jailed without bond on the fugitive warrant and a $50,500 secured bond on the other charges.
