Charlotte-Mecklenburg police charged a Charlotte man Sunday with murder in the shooting death of another man during an argument in northwest Charlotte on Saturday night.
Theopolis Raquan Martin, 19, was in Mecklenburg jail late Sunday with no bond. He was charged with fatally shooting Darien Marquis Hoskins, 28, around 11 a.m. Saturday in the 4300 block of Hovis Road, a short distance west of Hoskins Road.
Officers said they arrived to find a gunshot victim inside a car. The man died at the scene, according to paramedics.
Detectives said they believe an altercation Saturday morning between the two men led to the shooting. They said it did not appear to be an act of random violence.
