Police in Gastonia spent the night looking for a man wanted in connection with a shooting late last month in Clover, S.C.
The suspect is identified as Harry James Allison, 31, of Clover. He is wanted on charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, Clover police said.
Police in Clover said Allison is a suspect in the Sept. 28 drive-by shooting of a man on Queensgate Road. The victim is recovering from his wounds.
Gastonia police said they found Allison at a residence on Kilborne Drive, but they said he ran from authorities as officers approached the house about 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Allison is described as a black male, about 5-foot-11 and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on both arms, according to police.
