After a six-month investigation prompted by community complaints, police on Friday arrested a Lenoir man at his home and charged him with drug offenses.
Police charged Travis Xavier Thomas, 27, with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a schedule II controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, misdemeanor simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thomas was jailed on a $150,000 bail and has a first court appearance on Monday.
Officers executing a search warrant at Thomas’s home Friday morning seized 6.9 grams of crack cocaine, 20 grams of marijuana and $125 cash, Police Chief Scott Brown said. The drugs, as determined by state guidelines, were valued at $1,800, Brown said.
