    In this file video from Aug. 31, 2016, John Coddington, 23, of Fort Mill was sentenced to 45 years after pleading guilty to murdering his girlfriend, Tiffany Williams. Coddington admitted to beating the woman in their shared apartment last December, stuffing her body into a suitcase and burning it in a barrel in Chester County. Family of both Williams and Coddington gave emotional pleas to the judge.

    New Hanover County Sheriff Ed McMahon said at a Monday press conference that an arrest had been made in the largest seizure of heroin and fentanyl in county history. Deputies said in a Facebook post that they found the drugs during a Nov. 30 search of Shawqui Rahim Gray’s home on Oleander Drive in Wilmington. More arrests are expected.
