Future aviators, cardiologists and graphic designers get a jump on the world of work in the Mayor’s Youth Employment Program, an eight-week city summer internship program with about 250 students and 37 public service host employers in Charlotte.

Harding University High’s Hillary Mosley is back for her second year, working again in the human resources department at Carolinas HealthCare System. She hopes to become a pharmacist. “I want to pick up where I left off last summer,” Mosley said. “I want to keep learning new processes.”
