Teams advancing from the Charlotte area to the state Odyssey of the Mind finals April 6 at East Carolina include:

Carmel Middle, with teams that placed first in “It’s How You Look at It” and “Tumble-wood”;

Charlotte Latin, with a first place high school team in “It’s How You Look at It”;

Community House Middle, with a team topping “ARTchitecture” and one finishing second in “Tumble-wood”;

Cuthbertson Middle, which topped “Pet Project”;

Elizabeth Traditional, second in “ARTchitecture”;

Elon Park Elementary, second in “Tumble-wood”;

Lake Norman Charter, second in the high school division of “Tumble-wood”;

Matthews Elementary, second in “It’s How You Look at It”;

Mount Pleasant Middle, second in “Pet Project”;

Myers Park High, with teams that placed first and second in “ARTchitecture,” first in “Tumble-wood,” first in “The Email Must Go Through” and second in “It’s How You Look at It”;

Piedmont Middle, with second-place teams in both “ARTchitecture” and “It’s How You Look at It”;

Queen’s Grant Community, second in the elementary division of “Pet Project”;

Sharon Elementary, first in “Tumble-wood”;

South Charlotte Middle, second in “The Email Must Go Through”;

Trinity Episcopal, first in the middle-school division of “The Email Must Go Through”;

Unionville Elementary, with first-place teams in “ARTchitecture,” “It’s How You Look at It,” “Pet Project” and “The Email Must Go Through”; and

Weddington Hills Elementary, second in “The Email Must Go Through.”
