Rock Hill students’ environmental club honored

The Environmental Science Club at Northwestern High in Rock Hill was named the York County Environmental Student Group of the Year. The group, which logged more than 350 volunteer hours during the past school year, helped increase on-campus recycling from 14 percent to 20 percent and reduced waste by 30 tons in one year.
