Charlotte student: 1st for ‘Freedom’

Charlotte Christian sophomore Sarah Redmond, left, was awarded the independent high school first-place award for her drawing "The Price of Freedom" in the Carolinas Freedom Foundation Patriotic Art Competition.

She received her award at a breakfast held at the Blake Hotel in Charlotte. Charlotte Christian visual arts students won eight awards in the competition.
