Cannon School students Harrison Barone, Derek Gordon, Sydney Green, Joelle Parkin, Maya Sturgies and Jordan Wallace attended the Student Diversity Leadership Conference in National Harbor, Md., last month.

All of the students are juniors except for Sydney and Maya, who are sophomores. At the conference – a multiracial, multicultural gathering of Upper School student leaders from around the country – participants examine issues of social justice, develop effective cross-cultural communication skills, practice expression through the arts, and learn networking principles and strategies.
