Teen attorneys win awards in mock trial contesy

Three students won honors as attorneys during the mock trial competition organized by the Assistance League’s Mecklenburg County Teen Court program. Tiffany Adams, a home-schooled senior, was awarded best prosecuting attorney as well as volunteer of the year. Jeff Holmes, a sophomore at South Mecklenburg, was best defense attorney. Destini Mewborn, a senior at Rocky River, was awarded the attorney who demonstrated the best interview skills.
